What is community service?

Kevin takes that list of contributions seriously.  He donates a great deal of time to the community.

Boy Scouts of America:

Pack 61 of Malone – Pack Leader.

Assistant Scoutmaster.

Chairperson of the Adirondack District of the Twin Rivers Council for the Boy Scouts of America.

He is an active member of the Order of the Arrow, the Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America.

Malone Lodge of Elks #1303:

He is a past Exalted Ruler of the Lodge and currently holds office as Inner Guard.

“Elk of the Year” in 2004.

House Committee member for several years. He served as the Chairperson of that committee during the 2004-2005 term.

Kiwanis Club of Malone:

Awarded the Legion of Merit from the New York District of the Kiwanis Club for the dedication and service to the community during the previous ten years.

Distinguished President for his volunteer service during the ice storm of 1998.

He also was instrumental in the construction of the new Kiwanis fair stand at the Franklin County Fairgrounds.

Maryclaire Sherwin Greater Malone YMCA:

Kevin also helped a dedicated group of people to establish a YMCA in the Village of Malone.

Kevin was part of this dedicated group of volunteers who went on to raise $250,000.00 to open this great facility.

Serves on the YMCA Board of Directors.

North Country Community College:

Serves on the North Country Community College Foundation Board.

Town of Malone Democratic Committee

Malone’s Election District 7 – 1997 Committee Member

Chairperson – 1999 Elected to position of Chairperson in 1999 and continues to serve in this position having been re-elected five times.

2002

Awarded Certificate of appreciation from Mineola Fire department for my 6 years of support and work to the youth program. 

2001

Awarded certificate of honor from Rescue One for my dedication and help for those lost one 9/11 and for my 3 months of service at Rescue  one located blocks from ground Zero.

Awarded certificate of Honor from the IRS for my service after 9/11 to those families who lost first responders.

1998

Awarded certificate of merit for my service to the Exchange club of Freeport and for service as the President.

1995

Awarded and named in who’s who among International professionals for civic and legal professional achievement.

1992

Awarded and named in Who’s who for my local Society and Legal Business achievements.

1991

Certificate of recognition from President George Bush for my service as assigned motor cade driver to secret service detail under responsible for transportation of Press Secretary Max Marlin Fitzwater and John Henry Sununu White House Chief of Staff.
